Load Zone: The load zone is a range of upper weights Lowe Alpine think a particular back system is capable of carrying in relative comfort. The Cerro Torre 65:85 features a load zone of between 25-30kg (55-66lb) (the rucksacks them selves can take more weight with less comfort to the carrier).

TorsoFit: The Torso Fit back system allows you to easily adjust the back length across a wide range of back lengths. You can use the coloured bars as a guide but you can also micro adjust the back length between the guide marks. Tailored to your back shape, this will improve the carrying comfort, allowing you carry heavier loads for longer trips. It has also been designed to withstand major abuse so that you can trust it in the wildest situations.

TorsoMotion: The TFX TorsoMotion system will allow the torso to twist and the hipbelt to rotate, thus accommodating the body’s natural movement whilst trekking.

Supportive AirChannel: Backs get very hot when you are carrying heavy loads. Research has shown that vertical channels can be really effective in cooling the back. All TFX backs feature an AirChannel but some also feature the Supportive AirChannel which ensures greater comfort when carrying heavier loads.

AdaptiveFit: AdaptiveFit harnesses and hipbelts will automatically adjust to the wearers shape just by tightening them.

Rebound foam: Rebound foam is a very resilient foam designed to return to its original shape after being constantly deformed for long periods. It is perfect for extended carrying with heavy weights and offers great support and comfort.
